New Daily Impressions Delivery Mode

January 23rd 2020

What’s new?

Daily Impressions

When setting a limit for Daily Impressions, Advertisers can now choose whether to deliver these impressions as quickly as possible, or distribute them throughout the day.

What can this new feature do for me?

If a limit is set to impressions, this limit may be reached by users from a particular time zone or demographic, preventing the campaign from reaching a wide audience. Distributing impressions throughout the day allows Advertisers to ensure that campaigns are reaching different time zones and audiences.

Delivery Mode

In Step 4: Pricing & Limits of creating a campaign, when Daily Limits is switched on, you can choose to limit the Budget or Impressions for the campaign.

In the Delivery Mode drop-down, there are now two options for Impressions:

  • Quick Delivery: This means that the campaign will show until it has reached the limit of impressions that you set.
  • Distribute throughout the day: This means that an algorithm will control how the campaign displays to ensure that the limit is reached over the course of the whole day.

Examples:

  • You set up a campaign for an online game. If the Delivery Mode is set to Quick Delivery, this ad may reach its impressions limit from teenagers who are online during the day, and therefore not show to adults browsing in the evening. Setting this campaign to Distribute throughout the day will ensure that it reaches both age groups.

  • You set up a campaign for a product with international appeal. If the delivery mode is set to Quick Delivery, this campaign may reach all its impressions in one country, while users in another time zone are asleep. Setting the impressions to Distribute throughout the day will ensure that the campaign is getting impressions in as many time zones as possible.
