# Dashboard

## Overview of the Publisher Dashboard <a href="#overview-of-the-publisher-dashboard" id="overview-of-the-publisher-dashboard"></a>

When you are logged in as a Publisher, the **Dashboard** shows you key information to give you insight into how your ad zones are performing.

![](https://2421941036-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FoiffCg2y27CXM9bLruG3%2Fuploads%2Fy6IJUToa4mnG00o7G4IH%2Fpublisher-dashboard-blue.png?alt=media\&token=e74ba1a9-5f55-4cb8-ad7b-b66753065422)

## Top Panels (A) and (B) <a href="#top-panels-a-and-b" id="top-panels-a-and-b"></a>

![](https://2421941036-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FoiffCg2y27CXM9bLruG3%2Fuploads%2Fwo2nMF2orJX76vIEwfsm%2Fpublisher-dashboard-a-b.png?alt=media\&token=21e9cbea-da56-4d9b-be81-c0ec41e57fb5)

At the top of the Publisher Dashboard you can see the (A) **News Panel**, which shows any current news that may affect you. You can dismiss or hide the news by clicking on the **Dismiss** icon on the right of panel (A).

Below this in (B) you can see your revenue for **Today**, **This Month**, **Last Month**, and **This Month Forecast**. Click **View** to see the graph for the past **6 months**. The **Status** panel shows you the **Status** of your publisher account.

**Active** is the default. **Inactive** means that your account has been suspended for inactivity, and **Closed** means that it has been permanently shut down.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: The following sections describe the default charts and tables that appear on the Dashboard. However, you can customize the dashboard to show any charts and tables that meet your needs.
{% endhint %}

## Graphs (C), (D), (E), and (F) <a href="#graphs-c-d-e-and-f" id="graphs-c-d-e-and-f"></a>

<figure><img src="https://2421941036-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FoiffCg2y27CXM9bLruG3%2Fuploads%2FjmB1SAFCa7VcpQmIoK0m%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=2b5634cd-1939-47ce-8769-8d8df62d513d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In (C) you can choose to add new dashboards and customize each dashboard to your needs. Also, you can choose a time option **Today**, **Yesterday**, **Last 7 Days**, **Last 30 Days**, **This Month**, or **Last Month**.\
For more, see [Adding New Dashboards](/publishers/publisher-dashboard.md#adding-new-dashboards).

![](https://2421941036-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FoiffCg2y27CXM9bLruG3%2Fuploads%2FKFs8CjFVTgEmE46BM0qH%2Fpublisher-dashboard-d-e-f.png?alt=media\&token=0da13be9-8013-45dc-a63e-0adaff82b2d3)

Each of the three graphs in (D), (E), and (F) shows two lines to enable you to compare changes in the time period selected in (C). The red/green line shows the later time, and the gray line shows the earlier time for comparison.

![](https://2421941036-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FoiffCg2y27CXM9bLruG3%2Fuploads%2FpAgXpvFs6ZVDpL9iD3uO%2Flater-earlier-revenue-graph.png?alt=media\&token=f098257c-6821-45a1-899f-faa0210e28a1)

So, if you have chosen **This Month** in (C) any point on the red/green line will show you a date from this month, and the gray will show you the corresponding date from the previous month.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: When you select **Today** in (C), the two-line graphs compare times in the current day to the same time in the previous day.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note**: When you select **Yesterday** in (C), the two-line graphs compare individual hours from yesterday to the same hours the day before.
{% endhint %}

D. **Revenue**: This graph shows the total amount of revenue you have earned from your ad zones in the selected time period. The red/green line graph shows the total for the selected time period, while the gray line graph shows the period before that.

E. **Impressions**: This graph shows the total impressions your ad zones have received. The red/green line graph shows the total for the selected time period, while the gray line graph shows the period before that.

F. **Clicks**: This graph shows the total clicks your ad zones have received. The red/green line graph shows the total for the selected time period, while the gray line graph shows the period before that.

You can also add a filter to any charts or tables you create on your dashboard. For example, you could create a **Line** graph showing CPC price, and then filter it by **Browsers**.

To do this, click the **+Add Filter** button at the bottom of the **Dashboard Settings** panel, and select a filter from the list:

* When you choose a filter, you can then choose which items you wish to filter by: For example, if you choose to filter by **Browsers**, you can then use the checkboxes to choose which browsers to filter by.
* Use the **Show selected only** checkbox to exclude the items that you haven't selected, and choose **Select All** to select all items.
* You can add multiple filters by clicking on the **Add Filter** button again.

Once you have added the filters you require, click on the **Update Preview** button on the chart or table to see how it looks.

Once a widget has had a filter applied, you see a **Filter applied** symbol on the left side of it:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.exads.com/publishers/publisher-dashboard.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
